Skilled Independent visa
The Skilled Independent Visa - Subclass 189 allows highly skilled workers who are not sponsored by an employer, state or territory government, or family member to live and work permanently in Australia.
To apply for this visa under the points-tested stream, you must first obtain a positive skills assessment for your nominated occupation and then submit an Expression of Interest (EOI). If your EOI is successful, you will be invited to submit a visa application.
